Richard J. Shea
President and Chief Executive Officer
Rich has administered, designed and implemented high level information and technology systems to support cable, broadband and telecommunications companies for 20 years.
Most recently, Rich served as CTO for AltiComm and previously was the founder and President of Broadband Applications Management, a company focused on designing and implementing OSS and BACC systems. Rich also served in VP and senior positions at Carolina Broadband, MediaOne, Arrowsmith Technologies and General Electric.
Rich is a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point with a BS in Engineering. He served as an officer in the army overseas and in the US before achieving the rank of Captain and leaving for private industry. He also holds an MBA from Boston University.
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Pat is a seasoned executive with experience providing financial management for telecommunication, energy conservation and accounting services companies for 15 years.
Prior to joining Atlantic Broadband, Pat was the CFO at Quorum Broadcast Holdings, where he managed the financial operations of 13 locations and the benefits program for over 600 employees. He was also CFO for Sullivan Broadcast Holdings, where he assisted in the $1 billion sale of the station group, providing investors with a compounded return in excess of 50 percent. Pat began his career as an audit manager for Price Waterhouse and as Corporate Controller for DMC Services.
Pat is a magna cum laude graduate of Northeastern University, with a degree in Accounting and Management.
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Leslie has 20 years of experience advising clients on legal and regulatory matters in the cable and telecommunications industry.
Most recently, Leslie served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Lightower Fiber Networks, a premier provider of high-capacity fiber optic network services in the Northeast, where she was responsible for all legal affairs of the company, including regulatory compliance, commercial contracts and managing the legal department through multiple corporate acquisitions. Prior to Lightower, Leslie served as Vice President of Law and Public Policy for Adelphia Cable’s Northeast Region. In this capacity, she led a team of legal and government affairs professionals responsible for all legal, regulatory and public policy matters.
Leslie is a graduate of the State University of New York – Fredonia and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Vice President and General Manager, South Carolina
Debbie has more than 25 years of experience managing and overseeing business strategy, offering technical support, implementation and sales and marketing operations in the telecommunications industry.
Debbie has been with Atlantic Broadband for nearly three years. Most recently, she served as the company’s Business Sales and Service Director for South Carolina. In this role, she worked with current and prospective local businesses to ensure their business communications services and products worked seamlessly to meet growing demands. Prior to joining Atlantic Broadband, Debbie worked in Business Sales for both WOW! Cable And Knology.
Debbie graduated with degrees in Business Management and Psychology from the University of South Carolina at Aiken.
Vice President, Business Sales
Gerardo has more than 17 years of executive experience in telecommunications, finance, and technology.
Most recently, Gerardo served as the CEO at WANRack, a provider of private fiber WANs for school districts. Previously, he was the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at FPL-FiberNet and also held prior roles at General Electric in finance, business development and sourcing.
Gerardo holds an MBA from Harvard University, and a mechanical and electrical engineering degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology. Gerardo resides in Miami, Florida and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Charles P. Hanley
Vice President and General Manager, Connecticut
Charles (Chap) has over thirty years of experience overseeing customer service and field operations in the cable industry.
He currently serves as the Senior Outreach Advisor on the WICT New England board and is also a member of SCTE New England board. Most recently, Chap was Vice President of Customer Services for OnProcess Technology where he managed the broadband/wireless customer care organization. Chap also held positions as General Manager for Adelphia Communications and began his cable career with 20 years at Comcast where he served as the Regional Director, Marketing Operations and Director of Service Centers in New England.
Chap holds a B.A. degree from Hobart College and his M.A.L.S. degree from Dartmouth College.
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Pennsylvania
Curt is a seasoned industry veteran with nearly thirty years of technical operations and engineering support in the cable industry.
Curt is responsible for managing eight Atlantic Broadband systems serving customers in areas of Northern Pennsylvania and New York state. Curt also manages Atlantic Broadband’s technical operations team as well as Contact Center operations.
He began his career with TCI and went on to work for both Time Warner Cable and Charter Communications in Pennsylvania. In 2003, Curt served a year in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Warrant Officer in a Combat Engineer Battalion, US Army Reserves.
Curt is currently serving as Secretary on the Pennsylvania-Ohio SCTE Board and graduated from Penn State University with an AA in Electrical Engineering and BA in Labor Relations.
Vice President, Customer Care
Courtney has been an integral member of the Atlantic Broadband Customer care organization for the past 12 years.
In her role, Courtney and her team work to ensure the company is delivering an outstanding customer care experience. She oversees residential and business call center operations including phone, chat and dispatch across all four operating regions.
Courtney holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently pursuing an MBA from St. Francis University. She is also a member of the Young Professionals of the Alleghenies.
Vice President, Programming
Heather has a distinguished career in video content strategy, negotiation and distribution with over 15 years at NBC Universal, STARZ and Disney.
In her role at Atlantic Broadband, Heather is responsible for the video content acquisition across all platforms as well as all programming contract negotiations, compliance and relationship management. Prior to joining Atlantic Broadband, Heather most recently worked as VP, Content Distribution for NBCUniversal, overseeing all Field Sales & Marketing endeavors for the newly formed company.
In 2014, Heather was named as a “40 under 40” executive in CableFax Magazine. Within the industry, she has been active with both CTAM and WICT, and received a CTAM TAMI award for her chapter leadership at CTAM.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from Roanoke College in Salem, VA.
Elizabeth L. Michelsen
Vice President and General Manager, Florida
Elizabeth (Lizzie) is a proven cable industry performer with over 15 years of experience in Project Management, Operations, and Customer Relations.
Most recently, Lizzie served as a Senior IT Director where she managed key operational projects for Atlantic Broadband including its market-level digital conversions and advanced business services deployments. Lizzie began her cable career at RCN where she focused on service delivery, quality assurance and process development for the Boston region.
Lizzie holds a B.A. degree from Bates College in Sociology.
Vice President and General Manager, Maryland and Delaware
Scott is a seasoned telecommunications veteran with more than 30 years of experience overseeing engineering, customer care, finance, regulatory affairs, sales and marketing operations.
Most recently he served as Vice President and General Manager for Atlantic Broadband’s southern Pennsylvania region. Prior to joining Atlantic Broadband, Scott was Area General Manager-Midwest for Rise Broadband where he was responsible for an eight-state region and Director of Regulatory Affairs and Controller for Service Electric Telephone. Scott also held positions at Verizon, Comcast and Windstream earlier in his career.
Scott holds a B.S. degree from Illinois State University and is pursuing a M.S. degree in Electric Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Tom brings more than 20 years of experience in human resource management, operations and training and organizational development.
Most recently, Tom served as Principal of The Adaptive Leader, a consulting group providing HR services to a variety of major clients. He was also VP of Human Resources at Marconi Communications, formerly FORE System, where he was responsible for human resource programs, projects and services for a division of 5,000 employees in North, Latin and South America. Prior to those positions, Tom helped provide all human resource services at FedEx Ground, formerly RPS, Inc., for a headquarters staff of 1,300.
Tom began his career in the US Air Force where he was involved with personnel training and development in addition to flight operations. He was recalled to active duty during Operation Desert Shield/Storm and Allied Force and was awarded three Air Medals for his missions. Tom is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Air National Guard.
Tom has a BA from the University of Pittsburgh in Economics and an MPA in Administrative Organization and Management from Golden Gate University.
